Strawberry Banks forever…

15 May 2016 Marsh Fritillary_0009Strawberry Banks, between Cirencester and Stroud, is 50 miles from Kineton – but let’s pretend it’s part of the local area – after all, we are just on the edge of the Cotswold AONB here which stretches all the way south to Bath. We went there specially to see the Marsh Fritillary… we weren’t disappointed!! A steep south-west facing field surrounded by woodland… and perfect calm sunny weather. The Marsh Fritillaries were out in good numbers and this is just about the only place you can see them in the Cotswolds.
