Never mind the buzzards

IMG_0837Three crows wheeling over the garden today started to mob a couple of buzzards – they all got very excited with lots of wing flapping. The buzzards usually win, of course, but the crows seem to give the impression that they’re not too bothered. Buzzards are now commoner than kestrels – that would have seemed impossible even ten years ago.

A buzzard feather recently floated into the garden with lovely brown mottled patterning – pic attached.
