Huffing and puffing

Three puff balls have appeared in the garden – already a little past their best but we haven’t seen them here before.
Here’s a photo of a giant puff ball – ok, I’ll own up… it’s the radar station near the summit of Cross Fell in the North Pennines! Getting to the top can involve a lot of huffing and puffing on a hot day.
And a second giant puff ball photo… but this is a real one!!29 Sept - 1 Oct 2015 Dufton and Cross Fell 039

25-26 Sept 10 Wye Valley 016 We found this foot-diameter specimen down in the Wye Valley three or four years ago. If you find one – EAT IT! Delicious sliced and fried up with bacon.
