A star in the east

The Xmas Eve crib service brought a peacock butterfly out of hibernation – it initially fluttered in the east side of the church, then swooped high over the packed pews as if it were keen to join in with the carol singing. But when a few chocolates were thrown to the excited children it decided enough was enough and settled down for another three months of gentle snoozing.
