Hare raising stuff

An early morning cycle down to Tysoe and then up Sunrising Hill (I’m still puffing and panting) was rewarded with a couple of large hares. One raised itself from the long grass by the side of the road and gently lolopped across to the other side (oblivious of any cyclist), whilst the second was quietly soaking up yesterday’s heat from the tarmac on a minor side lane.

Around 300 rooks were gathered in a field at the foot of the Edge Hill road, but dotted amongst them were several dozen large round bales – the whole abstract scene looked like an installation for the forthcoming Warwickshire Art Week!
