Prim and proper

IMG_6367Today in the garden… warm sunshine, primroses, proper clumps of cowslips and the first Holly Blue of the year. Buzzard mewing overhead, Peacocks and Brimstones on the wing and lots of activity at the beehive.

  1. And bluebells are flowering along Lighthorne Road. The ones furthest from the village are true wild bluebells, the ones nearest to the village (maybe not in flower yet) are hybrids with the garden Spanish bluebells – paler, bigger and not as one-sided and bell-like.
