Hello big ears!

A cute Brown Long-Eared Bat came to visit us the other day – with ears nearly as long as its body. They curl back like rams’ horns when at rest or can be tucked away under their wings leaving only the pointed inner lobe visible. This one had an injured wing and was being cared for by a specialist, but several will soon be swooping over the garden. Summer roosts are usually located in old buildings, barns, churches and trees.
