New Year Res-owl-ution

Hoping the tawny owls will be pleased with their new box! It will be put up soon, though it looks more like a posh pedal bin for the kitchen than a home for birds. But this cylindrical one is made from rot-free woodcrete so should last a while – unlike the last one which eventually disintegrated after being regularly colonised by breeding jackdaws and collarded doves.
