Tawny owl

Just like a giant moth, a tawny owl has been drifting over our garden at around 9.30 each evening. Sharp warnings from blackbirds and others usually announce its arrival and it then calls for ten minutes or so before moving on to continue calling further in the village. Some evenings it returns and hoots again until 11pm – a great way to finish a late barbeque!
