Grass snake

A young grass snake, a foot long, in the garden today, quietly coiled beneath a piece of old corrugated iron. They are surprisingly common around Kineton, but aren’t seen that often. Warm sunny days over the next few weeks might encourage a few to bask in open grass or by the side of hedges.
